Sunday Offerings for Adults

Java for the Soul: This class is taught using curriculum that bases its lessons on the readings from Sunday services.  Each lesson has Scripture readings, insightful commentary, and lively discussions.  Participants will get a deeper thinking about Christian beliefs and daily life.  Each week participants enjoy specialty coffee and cappuccino as they study the Bible.  The lesson changes each week and is perfect for drop-ins or newcomers.  Java for the Soul is offered in the Ministry Center September -May form 10:45AM-11:45AM.

 

Monday Night Offering

Soul Searchers: This class tackles reality by reading and discussing topics that expand the understanding of God and religion in today's world.  Soul Searchers meets in the choir room at 6:30 PM year round.

 

Wednesday Offerings

Rectors Bible Study: This class will read and discuss the book Making sense of Scripture, by Dr. David Lose which helps the participant openly approach the Bible so that today's real world intersects with the Biblical world allowing the reader to see that God is still very active in daily life.  Following this book, the Gospel of Mark will be studied.  Led by Fr. Thompson.  This class meet from 10:15AM in the Parish Hall.

Encore!: This offering will allow parishioners to study the same material that was presented at the Rector's Bible Study but in the evening!  Fr. Thompson will lead the class which will take place 6:15PM - 7PM in the Ministry Center.

Prayer for Today: (Beginning October 6th through November 10th) Albert Reynolds, graduate of the Spiritual Director's Course, Sursum Corda, will offer a short description on prayer each week and then lead the group in prayer.  This is an experiential course in which the participants will be expected to gather for prayers using contemplative prayer as the main offering.  This offering will take place 6:15PM-7PM in the Ministry Center.

 

Wednesday Night Dinner

Dinner is served at a cost of $4.50 per adults and $2.50 per child and is served from 5:30 -6:30 PM each Wednesday September - May.  Reservations may be made by calling the church by Tuesday at 803-279-4622 or email christianed@saintbart.org
